Dr. Mitzie Mathis, Founder and CEO

Dr. Mathis is a 17-year Information Technology veteran. She started her career in Electronic Imaging with Eastman Kodak where she designed and installed many systems, which ran on pc’s, networked pc’s, mini computers and mainframes. Over the course of her 7-year tenure at Eastman Kodak, she directed the Orbit Gram project, which was a joint venture between Eastman Kodak Company, The New York Hall of Science and NASA. This project is highly recognized for putting the first optical disk into space. In addition, Dr. Mathis’ tenure at Eastman Kodak allowed her to support and maintain systems at top Fortune 500 companies, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Connecticut, Metropolitan Life, CS First Boston, Swiss Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Penthouse Magazine, Time Warner. She was also recognized for her superior performance and named “1994 Who’s Who Among American Business Women”.

For the 7 years following, Dr. Mathis was a consultant in the Internetworking field, holding many industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Checkpoint and Novell.

Dr. Mathis has several IEEE peer reviewed publications which all focus on the Semantic Web.

Mathis Webs was founded in 2001 out of a need for small businesses to make a professional appearance on the Web. As the company evolved, its direction changed towards creating unique brands for small businesses.
